Frequently asked questions

Q: Where does Rival practice?

During the winter Rival practices as Base By Pro’s in Lynnwood. During the spring/summer season we rent fields between Everett and Mountlake Terrace to practice at.

Q: How many players do you carry on each team?

Answer: The amount of players on each varies based on the age group. Our goal is to form a competitive team that allows for all players to have a positive experience and earn playing time. Our 18u team carries between 17-20 players. 14u-16u carry between 13-15 players. 13u and below will carry 10-13 players.

Q: How many tournaments does each team play in?

This can also vary based on the age group. Each team will play between 7-9 tournaments given the layout of the league season and whether or not the team has high school players. Our goal is for each team to play a competitive schedule with tournaments, league games, and practices. 13u-18u typically play in the Seattle Elite League. Our 12u team does not play in a league and is Little League friendly.

Q: What is your philosophy on playing time?

We believe that playing time is earned not given. That being said, all players will be given fair opportunities to prove themselves.

Q: When does your season begin and end?

Winter training is from November through February. If your team has high school players (14u-18u) then your summer season will begin in May and go through July. If your team does not have high school players it will begin in March and go through July. Our 12u and younger teams are little league friendly.
